MICFootfem continues to grow and in its third edition, which will take place from 12 to 14 June 2026, it will add a new competition venue: UE Gurb.
The municipality, located in the heart of Osona and with nearly 2,500 inhabitants, joins Vic and Manlleu in hosting matches of the women’s grassroots football tournament.
The entry of Gurb as a new facility responds to the organization’s desire to bring MICFootfem closer to more municipalities in the region, reinforcing the commitment to women’s football and offering the teams modern facilities prepared for the high level of the tournament. The UE Gurb field, a historic club in the area with a great tradition of youth football, will be an ideal setting to host the tournament matches.
Furthermore, the inclusion of Gurb coincides with another notable new feature of MICFootfem 2026: the launch of the U16 category, designed to consolidate the progress of the players at a key age in their sporting development.
The City Council and the local club have shown great enthusiasm for being part of this event, which will place the municipality on the map of women’s youth football and will bring hundreds of players and families to discover the vitality and hospitality of Gurb.
With this incorporation, MICFootfem reinforces its objective of offering much more than a tournament: a sporting experience that makes women’s football grow.
